Follow up to Sister Act Meeting

Welcome SISTER ACT Cast, Tech, and Orchestra Parents,                                           

Topics covered:  

  • Meet the directors and learn more about rehearsal schedules and expectations.   Please reach out directly to the directors for questions regarding rehearsal scheduling.  Students and parents are encouraged to use REMIND for updates to schedule.

    REMIND CODES:

  • Student Fees:  A student activity fee of $40 due to Mr. Mitchell or Mr. McGowan 9/25.  Please make checks out to NCHS Theatre.  For questions, concerns or assistance regarding this fee, please reach out directly to Mr. Mitchell or Mr. McGowan. A part of this fee covers t-shirts for the play.  

  • How do we feed and support the students?  

    • Contact Lola King deltagirl1005@gmail.com with any student dietary restrictions/allergies.  Students will have access to donated heavy snacks after school during tech week.  Meals will be provided during the Super Saturday tech rehearsal on  10/19 as well as opening night 10/25 and between shows on 10/26.  

  • Volunteer opportunities:  All families are asked to sign up for at least one food donation and one time slot to help make the show a success.  There are many ways to help!  If you are dropping off food or snacks, note the time requested on the sign up genius and shoot us an email if you need any help or have questions.  

     

  • Parent Ads: Please complete the google for   DUE 9/20

  • Important Dates:  Rehearsal schedules have been given to students by                Mr. Mitchel and build scheduled by Mr. McGowan.  Schedules subject to change.  Please note in schedule that not all students called for rehearsal every day.                

    Characters called to each rehearsal are listed on far right of schedule.  

    Tech Saturday (10/19) and Tech week (10/21 - 10/24) rehearsals mandatory.  

    Please communicate any conflicts ASAP to directors.

**All families are asked to contribute at least 1 item to the Silent Auction**

Items may be dropped off by student at school to either Mr. Mitchell or Mr. McGowan (please ensure student name is on item so they receive credit for donation) OR contact Kelly Cropp or Deb Hendrix directly to arrange item drop off (contact information in toolkit).

Finally… thank you to all the parents, guardians, grandparents and more that came to the meeting looking for ways to support all of these amazing students and the directors.  If you are curious about how to be more involved WE NEED YOU!  No amount of time is too little, there are behind the scenes in your PJs tasks and up in front of groups, keeping the wheels spinning roles.  Literally something for everyone.  Please consider joining us at our next TOPPS meeting 10/1 in Mr. Mitchell’s theatre room.  If there is a role you think you might be interested in, we’d love to connect with you!
